Information:
   Roan has the nickname Ichigo because it means strawberry in Japanese. Roan loves strawberries. AlOT. The nickname actually began as a taunt from the other Spartan members because it was a name given to him by a bunch of children. Over time, it just sorta lost its meaning and became a nickname. Oddly enough, his hair is also strawberry blonde and he wears a scent of cologne made from strawberries.

   Roan is androgynous. He looks like a girl, but he is a boy. Even his actions seems to suggest that he would be asexual, but this is simply because this is for a reason. When he was a child, Roan's coastal hometown was raided by pirates. In order to survive, Roan's father disguised him as a woman. The pirates captured him and for 6 years, Roan had to pretend that he was a female. During which time he acted as a swab or a barmaid where ever they went. When Roan was 10, he murdered the Captain and attempted to take over the ship. As a result, they found out he was a boy and took the ship from him with ease. During this, they were approached by a Pirate Hunting vessel, which rescued Roan and the other women. The pirate hunters were only two men, the young Raziel Samaru, and a middle aged man by the name of Feyt Legion. Enough about that though. Any more would give away surprises.

   Roan does not have his right arm, which is cut off and wrapped in bandaged mid-bicep. When he was 16, he was hit by a Necromantic spell called Blight, a creeping rot that turns afflicted limbs black, but does not kill the host until it reaches the heart or brain. Before the attack, Roan was a very talented mage, one of three to be considered for the Title of Archmage, which would have made him one of the five most powerful wizards in the known reaches of the Galaxy. However, upon sealing the Blight spell away with magic, his magic was sealed away as well.  Also, Roan is right handed, so he had to relearn to do everything with his left hand. Another down side to the spell is that Roan stopped aging completely, and for the last several hundred years he has stayed in his young 17 year old body.

   Without his magic, Roan chose to focus on honing his swordsmanship. He was not bad at swordplay, being an excellent student. Which leads me to Roan's powers. The first is very simple. Roan has 100% control over his body. I shall explain as simply as possible. Every muscle in his body can be controlled at will. He is very aware of every action he takes, and he can move them all with inhuman precision. Also, another power is his heighten insight when fighting an opponent. By watching their movements, Roan can see their movements as soon as they start and react accordingly. In close combat, this gives him a wicked advantage over his enemies. What Roan lacks in physical power, he makes up for in technique and speed. A slash from his sword starts from his feet and toes, uses the muscles in his body to accelerate the motion and power, then his arm swings almost like a whip. He can easily cut a man clean in half before he knows what happened. Roan's specialty is the Iai, a swift slash of the sword as its drawn from the sheath. The speed is so high, the motion and the blade cannot be seen except for the flash of metal before the sword is back in the sheath.

   Roan's other power is the Element of Air. Roan can use hid energy to make invisible blades of air. So, his sword slashes can be super fast long range strikes that cleave through dozens of people. A special characteristic of this technique is that the opponent does not bleed. The blade of air creates a sort of vacuum effect, which can last for several minutes before wearing off. If Roan focuses it, he can make a condensed blade of air visible to the naked eye. When it hits enemies correctly, the vacuum forces cause the victim's insides to be sucked through the wound or they can even implode and be crushed.

   Roan's other name is the One-Eyed Dragon. This comes from the giant black dragon tattoo across his back. It is melded with runes and magical symbols, which is part of the seal, which prevents the Blight from spreading. There is a circular rune on the far right of David's collarbone. If Roan presses it and infuses some energy into it, the protection spell is momentarily broken until he reseals it. When he does, Roan is allowed the full use of his once great magical ability. The power at Roan's genius fingertips with magic is one of the most feared powers in the entire story. Some of the antagonists actually worry that he will release the seal while fighting them.

   One unusual benefit of the Seal is that it has given Roan's body time to mingle and understand the Blight spell. His body is actually trying to absorb it and combine itself with it while trying to cancel out the negative effects. When the Seal is broken, Roan has full range of control over undead and necromantic spells. His right arm is deformed as a result of the melding, his fingers are long black claws. An example of one of the things he does in the story with this power is this: A group of soldiers are rushing at him spears ready. He holds up his right hand, and clenches it, and they stop immediately. They scream in horror and pain for a brief moments before their bloodied skeletons climb from their meaty shells and retrieve the fallen weapons. They are now Roan's minions, and they hard hard to kill.



Roan's girly nature has made him the target of a lot of slash. One such combo is Kamon and Roan. Here is an example of a friend who drew such a thing: [link]

Roan is deemed a pirate by the Geonoman Alliance because in his free time he roams space collecting scrap and salvage from downed ships and wrecks, which is illegal by Geonoman law, but cannot be enforced in neutral territory.

Roan's best friend is Raziel, since they have known each other for so long. The last hundred years though, Roan has been seeking his own path, and the friends had not seen each other until they met coincidentally on board the Artemis.

Roan gets along really well with Kamon and Keori both, despite their dislike for each other. Drago and Roan except each other, but you wouldn't really call them friends, more like companions or comrades. Hiro and Ichigo can but heads from time to time, but its more of a rivalry or a mild dislike, nothing that prevents them from working together. Rygar is the only one able to go toe to toe with Roan's brains, and together they make some crazy and wild things.

One of the weird things I would have to mention about Roan is that he has no interest in either sex. I like to chalk it up to a side effect from the Seal, but Roan has no sexual interest at all. He can, however, pretend to. He has even been known to act like a homosexual in order to freak out his fellow SoulBlade members, who do not know this information.
